Marbella
Marbella was by far my favorite city. The house we lived in was in a gated community that had its own pool, tennis courts, basketball court and soccer field. The grounds of the community were covered in gorgeous flowers that made the entire place smell like a garden. This community was where we met our first Spanish friend (Adam) and being able to talk in English to someone was so what we all needed. We were literally a 5 min walk to the beach, where we swam and laid out almost every day. The beach was lined with restaurants and bars which made it easy to go for a cup of coffee and dessert.
We found our favorite restaurant on this beach, Siroko Beach. We went there many times because of the great food, but mainly because of the fantastic wait staff that became friends (Antonio, Bea, Hugo). While we were in Marbella, we had the opportunity to go to Morocco. This was a great experience and so glad Matt talked me into it. The sights, sounds, and smells of this place are really indescribable. As we drove away from Marbella that last day, I cried as I was sad to leave the friends that we had made and the beautiful city that I had grown to hold so dear to my heart.
